A Munich Coffee House Since 1700

Dallmayr is one of Germany's best-known coffee brands and is still family-owned today. Its roots go back to 1700, when the Munich merchant Christian Reitter ran the business that grew into the famous Dallmayr delicatessen on Dienerstraße. Around 1870 it took the name of Alois Dallmayr, later earned no fewer than 15 royal purveyor titles, and in the 1930s coffee became the house specialty.

Our Dallmayr Range

Which Dallmayr Coffee Should I Choose?

  • Drip or filter machine: prodomo ground coffee, the classic German filter coffee.
  • Fully automatic machine or grinder: prodomo whole beans or Crema d'Oro.
  • Espresso machine: Espresso d'Oro.
  • A quick cup: Dallmayr Gold instant coffee.
  • Evening coffee: prodomo Decaffeinated – about 15 cups contain as much caffeine as one cup of regular prodomo.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Dallmayr prodomo?
Prodomo is Dallmayr's signature coffee: a blend of arabica highland coffees whose typical taste comes mainly from beans grown in southern Ethiopia. We carry it as ground coffee and whole beans in 250g and 500g packs, plus a decaffeinated version.
What is the difference between Crema d'Oro and Espresso d'Oro?
Both are 500g whole-bean coffees roasted slowly at low temperature. Crema d'Oro is smooth and velvety, made for caffè crema, latte and cappuccino. Espresso d'Oro is more intense, made for espresso, ristretto and milk drinks with a stronger coffee base.
Where can I buy Dallmayr coffee in the US?
Right here. We import Dallmayr coffee from Germany and ship it from our New Jersey warehouse to all 50 states, including prodomo, Crema d'Oro, Espresso d'Oro and Dallmayr Gold instant coffee.
